Mapping the Landscapes: Continuing Education and Professional Development Needs and Opportunities for Libraries, Archives, and Museums

This project builds and strengthens community partnerships to document the continuing education and/or professional development (CE/PD) needs of staff in and across libraries, archives, and museums sectors.

Project activities include:

  • Understanding current best practices in CE/PD research and assessment efforts
  • Seeding a network of the organizational hosts and trainers who serve the CE/PD needs of libraries, archives, and museums
  • Documenting CE/PD needs in and across libraries, archives and museums by building an open dataset of information
  • Identifying discipline-specific and cross-disciplinary CE/PD needs
  • Designing sustainability scenarios for ongoing, volunteer-based CE/PD data collection, analysis, and reporting
